Conrad Hoyle Sommers' Obituary
SOMMERS, CONRAD HOYLE passed away on July 11, 2014 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 62 years. He was a respected attorney, a steadfast friend and an amazing husband, son, brother, father and grandfather. He leaves behind many family members and friends who filled his life with the sincerest meaning and joy. He was born in Dallas, Texas on July 5, 1952 to Conrad and LaTrelle Sommers. He went on to attend undergraduate and law school at the University of Texas at Austin before moving to Dallas and starting a private law practice, which he managed for 31 years. Hoyle’s hobbies included traveling with his family, white water rafting, playing golf, reading, playing with his grandkids, gardening, doing volunteer work with his mom and watching Texas football. Hoyle is preceded in death by his father, Conrad John Sommers, and his grandparents Hoyle and Winnie Dunaway and John and Esther Sommers. He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Angela; his daughters, Jaime Lyons and Jessica Sommers; his son-in-law, Greg Lyons; his grandkids, Grace and Noah Lyons; his mother, LaTrelle Ustation; his brother, John Sommers; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Brenda Sommers; and his sister, Carolyn Petersen. He was always “fun Uncle Hoyle” and his many nieces and nephews loved him dearly. Isaac, Doreann, Josiah, Ruth, Esther, David, Robert, Nathan, Chad, Kelsey, Connor, Kit, Paige and Mitch will miss their Uncle Hoyle terribly. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at King of Glory Lutheran Church in Dallas, TX.
