TIPPS, COOKIE was born on December 15, 1947 in Dallas, Texas and passed away May 22, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. She is preceded in death by her mother, Blendenia Cummings, and father, Paul Simmons. She is survived by husband, William Tipps; sister’s, Ginger, Kay, Jackie; her children; Robert, Tammy, Kim, Lindsey, and John; grandchildren, Caitlin, Cayson, Bronwyn, Leia, Souther, Max, Sam, and Wamai. Mrs. Cookie Tipps graduated from W.W. Samuell in 1966 she retired from Southwestern Bell after 32 yrs. She was a SWB Telephone Pioneers member devoted to Special Olympics, Sports Jamboree and hospital visitations. Trusted and loyal to all family and friends who knew her. Family will receive friends on Thursday May 24, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 10:00am at Cornerstone Baptist Church, at 2242 West Lucas Rd., Lucas, Texas.
