Cora McClure's Obituary
Cora was born February 7, 1929 in Dallas, Texas and passed away on December 20, 2025. She married Fred Leland McClure, Jr on June 6, 1948 in Dallas, Texas.
Her life was rich with music, laughter, adventure and she leaves a legacy of love that endures. She attended The Hockaday School, Highland Park High School, Southern Methodist University and was an Alter Guild member of the St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church (SMAAEC). She was talented painter, musician and an expert liturgical tailor.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Leland McClure Jr., parents Wesley Francis Wright and Ethylleen Dodson Wright, sister Ethylleen D. Coffman, and brothers Wesley F. Wright, Jr., and Dr. George B. Wright.
She is survived by daughter Laurel Anne McClure and son Dr. Fred Leland McClure III (Cheryl); grandchildren Catherine Ferman (Chadwick), Iain McClure, and Fred Leland McClure IV (Katherine); great-grandsons Fred Leland McClure V, Samuel McClure, and Coleson McClure; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Service Information: 2:00 pm Saturday January 31, 2026 at St Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, University Park Dallas , Texas. Donations to SMAAEC Altar Guild in lieu of flowers.
