It's been 4 years and 3 months now and it STILL HURTS. With my PTSD, anxiety and depression it's amazing that I've been able to maintain this long. Just the mention of that last day i saw her brings me to an emotional breakdown...sobbing, tears, red eyes, nose running...all that, and then some. BUT, I can say, that now it feels like it happened "the day before yesterday" vs "yesterday." Time DOES help. Love, your mama's boy.

God is so Good to Bless all of us with such a Beautiful soul. She is our Leading lady and most of all Mother, Wife and Woman of God. As we reminisce over the essence of her life we all know Cordelia was here and our lives are better because of her. As the transitions are made in our lives know that God is with us and will see you and all of us through this difficult times. I never would have thought it would come to this. No matter how I prepared for this day, I’m lost. Its like a piece of me is gone. That routine is no longer there…But I do know this…she isn’t suffering, she knows who she is, she can walk, she can speak, she can sing, she can dance, she can eat, she can read and right, no doctors, no pills, she has her wings, and is surrounded by family who I believe she saw that Monday afternoon who greeted her with open arms to come home and get your rest. What a comfort to know that “when your absent from the body, your present with the Lord.” She left me a reasonable and responsible member of this world…and I thank her for what she did unselfishly for me, and all of us. She’s going to be just fine!!
It just doesn’t seem real. I am gonna miss your laughter, your huge smile, your smell ( you always smelled so good), your sense of style, your spunk, our ripping and running, our talks, just soooooooo many things I cannot even begin to describe. You will ALWAYS be my momma, my ma! I will never forget you. You were the best Mom, I couldnt have asked for a better Mother. You have fought a good battle, you are a STRONG woman, you kept our family together…now it’s time for YOU to think about YOU and carry on. I promise to carry on your legacy and do the best I can to make you proud! Come to me when you can. Until I can feel your hugs again…
