Corey Dean Tompkins' Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Corey Tompkins, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend, on August 24, 2025, at the age of 55.
He is survived by his wife, Abby Tompkins; daughters, Katje and Kiera Tompkins; and his bonus children, Ashton and Austin Spears. His parents, Nancy and Gordon Tompkins, as well as his grandmother, Grace Banks of New York.
The family is deeply sad and shocked by his sudden death. We ask that you remember him not for how his life ended, but for how it was lived. Corey was known for his unwavering passion for his work, which he approached with dedication and enthusiasm throughout his life. His commitment to both his career and helping others left a lasting impact on everyone he met. We all know that he was never afraid to take on new opportunities.
As a loving husband, Corey fostered a warm and joyful home. He took pride in providing for his family, ensuring they were supported and cared for in their endeavors. His talent for making others smile was truly special, and his contagious happiness will be missed by everyone lucky enough to know him.
If Corey wasn't working, he was traveling with his family and friends. Some of his greatest joys came from his children and friends, who were a source of great happiness for Corey. He embraced the adventures and experiences life had to offer, creating lasting memories and cherishing those moments.
Corey’s legacy will live on through the love he shared and the positive impact he made on others. He leaves behind a grieving family and many friends who will never forget his kindness, generosity, and genuine spirit.
A memorial service will be held on September 5, 2025, at Restland Funeral Home.
Rest in peace, Corey. We know you are “Living the Dream” as you always said.
