Corian "Corey" Shane Lemmon's Obituary
Corian “Corey” Shane Lemmon, 49, of Forney Texas passed away after the bravest battle with cancer on July 13, 2021. He was born on July 9, 1972, in Dallas, Texas to Rita Knox Mills and Rick Lemmon. Corey's family was the pride and joy of his life. He loved spending time with his wife, daughter, and grandson, who was the new light in his life. Corey met the love of his life and soulmate at just 19 and they married on November 13, 1993. Together, they had a beautiful daughter, Blake. She was the center of their universe and daddy's baby girl. They created a loving home full of friends and adventures where they enjoyed vacations to Disney, hunting with friends and family and watching Corey's beloved OU where he was known for his "Boomer Sooner" chants. He was the owner of The Hail Center where he created truly special relationships with his coworkers who became some of his best friends. More recently, Corey became "Pop" to his best buddy and partner in crime, Knox. These two shared a remarkable relationship filled with love and laughter. Corey had a love for nature and the outdoors. He took great pride in his yard and making any property he owned more beautiful and a better place for all who visited. Corey was blessed with a family who loved him endlessly and countless friends that would do anything for him and he for them. He genuinely loved all the people in his life.
Corey is survived by his wife, Amanda; daughter Blake Willett (Shaun); grandson Knox Willett; father Rick Lemmon (Haide); mother-in-law Peggy Raiburn; step-mom Cheri Mills; brothers Brent Lemmon (Kristie), Curtis Mills (Sandra), Steven Mills (Melissa); sister Donna Sanchez (Michael); sister-in-law Angela Boyette; uncles Bart Knox; Ronnie Lemmon (Deneise); Randy Lemmon (Rhonda); aunts Christie Boren; Dawn Longshore; Vickie Lemmon; Cindy Kennedy; nieces and nephews Justin Sanchez, Amanda Sanchez, Scott Mills, Cody King, Shane King, Cameron Boyette, Jaycee Lemmon, Kevin Diaz, Sara Sanchez, Emily Diaz, Caden Lemmon, Jace Mills, Payton Boyette, and countless cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Rita Mills; stepdad Jerry Mills; brother Mark Mills; grandparents Doris Jordan Mills, Jewel and Horace Knox, LaVell and Kenneth Longshore, Richard Wilford Lemmon and Gladys Herrell.
Corey will forever be loved and missed by all his family and friends. He was truly a GOOD man who was the best husband, father, Pop, brother, uncle, cousin and friend that anyone could ask for. He was a man of his word, a hard worker, a lover of life and a man to be admired. Through it all, Corey and Amanda were a team who shared an amazing love for one another. They took on every challenge together and supported each other through it all - they shared a love that knows no end. Amanda, as time passes and you feel that soft breeze that sways in the trees, know that is Corey whispering to you...You'll forever be my always.
