Corinne Marie Philley's Obituary
Age 90, a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and friend, passed away Friday, October 3, 2008 at home. She was preceeded in death by her loving and faithful husband of over 50 years, Wayland Calvin Philley. Corinne was born and raised in Luling, Texas. Upon graduating from high school she headed north to SMU where she received a dual major in English and Dance. Her next 30 years were dedicated as a teacher leading her to Greenhill School where she finished out her career. She is survived by her children, John Philley and wife Diana of Boston, MA, and Jane Middlebrooks of Southlake, TX; grandchildren, Emma Philley, Melissa Philley, Billy Middlebrooks and Corissa Sullivan and husband Tony. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Pat, a good family friend, who was a great constant companion to Corinne in her final months. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to www.the3day.org, click Donor, in the participant name of Jane Middlebrooks, who is walking in the memory of her mother, Corinne, who through early detection lived a long and healthy life. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 3:30 pm, Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Restland’s Wildwood Chapel, with service to follow; Interment will be in the Court of Trinity garden at Restland Memorial Park.
