Corrie Lee Meeks Foster's Obituary
Corrie Lee Meeks Foster went home to be with the Lord and reunite with her loved ones who went before her on May 17, 2025. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by those who loved and cared for her. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Corrie was born December 6, 1931 in Royse City, Texas to the late Bennie and Lottie Christine Fair Meeks. She was the third child of nine children. She attended schools in the Royse City Independent School District and continued her education at Jarvis Christian College. She was baptized at an early age and attended New Hope Baptist Church. She later became a member of Marsalis Avenue Church of Christ. She was employed for many years with Parkland Memorial Hospital, working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bennie Meeks; her mother, Lottie C. Meeks; her siblings, Earnestine, Gussie Fay, Geneva, Raymond, James, and Benny Joe.
Loved ones left to cherish her memory: 4 children, Benny R. Foster (Diane), Jessie P. Foster, Fenterre D. Hodge (Ronald), and Cassandra L. Foster; 2 brothers, Troy E. Meeks (Robbie) and Robert R. Meeks (Geannie); 3 grandchildren, Adrian R. Hodge, Ariel R. Hodge, and Ashton Cantu; a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
