Coy Frelan Deets' Obituary
Coy Frelan Deets, 87, of Sachse, Texas, passed away on September 5, 2023. Born on June 10,1936, in Garland, Texas, to Hulan Hesley Deets and Emma Lucile Corley, Coy was a kind and gentle man who loved travel, family, and was a devoted putterer.
Coy is survived by his loving spouse, Phyllis Robinson Deets, his sister Nell Walker, and his children: Carol Bronson and Brenda Engledow, his stepchildren: Rachel Robinson, James Robinson, and David Robinson, and his grandchildren: Christopher Bronson, Scott Bronson, Josh Denison, James Denison, and Shannon Deets, and his step grandchildren: Joshua Robinson, Natalie Parrish, Sarah Wheeler, and Grayson Wheeler. He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, his brother Loyd Deets, his first wife, Frances Deets, and their two sons Richard and Gary Deets.
Coy attended Garland High School and later went on to work at Texas Instruments, for over 30 years, as an expert sheet metal worker. He took great pride in his work and was dedicated to his craft. In his free time, Coy enjoyed traveling and exploring new places. He found joy in experiencing different cultures and creating lasting memories with his loved ones.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services held. Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Coy Frelan Deets will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, gentle nature, faith in Jesus Christ, and love for his family will forever be cherished in their hearts.
