Craig Eugene McGee's Obituary
Craig Eugene McGee, born January 18, 1954 in Dallas, Texas and passed away July 18, 2019. Preceded in death by Constance McGee and Edwin McGee. Survived by sons, Chris McGee, Curtis McGee, Cody McGee; spouse, Kay McGee; and siblings, Mike McGee and Linda Groover.Craig was a husband, father, brother and a friend. He always had a smile on his face, a joke on tip of his tongue. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and annual family vacations to Red River, New Mexico and Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Craig had a special love for fly fishing, and always preferred to tie his own flies… because everyone knows the store flies don’t work. In addition to camping and being surrounded by nature, Craig was also known for his athleticism. While he had a passion for all sports, he loved baseball. Whether he was playing for the church’s softball league, wiffle ball in the backyard, or in his starting 3rd baseman role with Texas Tech, he had a true love for the game. Craig’s passion for sports and outdoors will continue to be carried out, through his kids and grandkids. Craig will be missed, but never forgotten.In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Park Foundation.Memorial service will be on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 2:30 PM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.Funeral arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
