Cullen E. Hartley's Obituary
Age 81, a resident of Dallas, born March 30, 1926 in Tennille, Ga, passed away to be with Jesus Christ on October 7, 2007. A graduate of Mercer University, Macon, Ga and a veteran of WWII, preceded in death by his father, Cullen Edgar Hartley Sr. and his mother Maureen King Hartley, survived by wife and best friend of 47 yrs, Jean Abernathy Hartley, Dallas and a brother Howard K. Hartley of Sarasota, Fl. Survived by one son Robert J. Hartley of Waterford, Ct; wife, Pat, children and grandchildren and one daughter Susan Hartley Parmelee, Murphy, Tx, husband, Don, children and grandchildren. Ed attended Preston Highlands Baptist Church in Dallas, Tx. He was a Sunday school teacher and deacon. Ed was a very dedicated Christian. A very special thank you to a dear friend, Mary Reeves with Vitas Hospice. The family will have visitation from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday October 10, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday October 11, 2007 at Preston Highlands Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Preston Highlands Baptist Church, 17463 Davenport Rd., Dallas, TX 75252 or favorite charity.
