Cullen Louis Tubb Jr.'s Obituary
Beloved Husband, Dad and Granddad Born October 17, 1926, to Dr. Cullen and Sarah Tubb, in Waxahachie, died January 28, 2008, peacefully, of natural causes. He earned his engineering degree from SMU, and served in the air force in World War II. Cullen married his childhood sweetheart, Corrine Allen, of Arp, Texas on September 27, 1947. They made their home in Dallas for most of the 60 years of their marriage. Cullen worked for Sun Oil Company, and then started his own firm, in 1965, working in sales throughout the oil and gas industry, and welcoming his oldest son, Cullen III, into business with him in 1975. A devoted family man, Cullen is survived by his wife, Corrine, and their three sons and wives: Cullen, III & Barbara; Allen & Connie; and Larry; and eight grandchildren: Sara, Elaine & Cullen, IV; Emily & Andrew; Melonee, Jackie & Larry Jr., and great granddaughters: Hannah, Gabriella and Penelope. Cullen is also survived by his brother and wife, James and Suzanne Tubb, and by many cousins, nieces and nephews, most of whom knew him affectionately as ‘Uncle Cullen’.
