Curtis Nance Stovall's Obituary
Curtis Nance Stovall, age 81 of Rockwall, Texas passed away on September 22, 2020.
Curtis was born on April 10, 1939 in Heath, Texas to Thomas and Sallie Stovall. He married Alice Jones in Dallas, Texas on May 20, 1961. He proudly served his nation in the US Army, First Armored Division, Ft. Hood as a Private from 1961-1963. After his active duty, Curtis served in the US Army Reserves until Honorably Discharged in 1967. He then had a lucrative career as a sign builder, working for Texlite, Viacom and Dualite Inc., for 41 years. He was a very loving and dedicated father who enjoyed camping and fishing with his boys. When he wasn't working in his garden, Curtis enjoyed rooting for the Texas Rangers and his favorite NASCAR drivers.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Thomas Stovall.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Alice Stovall of Rockwall, TX; son, Kenneth Stovall and wife, Pam of Rockwall, TX; son, Kevin Stovall and wife, Sonya of Rockwall, TX; sister, Wanda Smith of Bardwell, TX; brother, George Stovall of Royse City, TX; his grandchildren: Heather Nolan, Ashley Compton, Kayla Stovall, Jennifer Stovall, and Braydon Stovall, and 4 great grandchildren.
