Ms. Cynthia C. Cramer's Obituary
Cynthia Ann Cox Cramer passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023, almost a year to the day after her husband Ken. She was 83.
Cindy was born on July 9, 1939, in Kansas City, Missouri. She met Ken at the University of Colorado, and they moved to Dallas after marriage, where they raised their children. After a number of years as a stay-at-home mom, she returned to the work force initially as a secretary and ultimately as a property tax consultant for many years. After she retired, she volunteered at several nonprofits, including Friends Place and the Richardson Public Library.
Cindy passionately loved her family and friends, and she was well loved in return. She also loved to travel. She and Ken traveled to points far and wide over the years, with Italy being a special favorite. Her days were spent visiting with friends, doing Wordle and crossword puzzles, and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. And she loved a good Chardonnay on ice.
Cindy was predeceased by her husband Ken; her parents, Robert and Charlotte Cox; and her brother, Larry Cox. She is survived by her biological children, Mike Cramer (Julie) and Cathy Cramer (Ben); her bonus daughter, Jackie Westhoff (Rick) ; and five grandchildren: Nicholas Cramer (Christine), Ashlyn Cramer (Jaxon), Hallie Edwards (Jacob), Ken Talley, and Sophie Westhoff.
A memorial service will be held on April 15, 2023, at 10 a.m., in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent in Cindy’s memory to Friends Place Adult Day Services in Richardson.
