Cynthia Denise Edwards' Obituary
Cynthia Denise Smith, 64, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025. She was born on September 20, 1960, in Dallas, Texas. She lived and loved life! She was her mother’s world. Cynthia dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 46 years, Elijah, and their three children and grandchildren. She was a virtuous woman with unwavering faith. Her selflessness and humor allowed her to create multiple lifelong relationships that extended outside her immediate family.
Cynthia's greatest joy came from spending time with her family, friends, and her annual camping trips. Her homemade chocolate fudge, meringue pie, chocolate drop cookies, and bows were legendary in the family and office. Christmas was her favorite holiday, which she prepared for all year. She ensured that every holiday had a magical touch for her children and grandchildren, who eagerly anticipated her holiday gatherings.
Cynthia's nurturing spirit extended to her furry companions, in-laws, and sons-in-law. She was a self-taught accountant and dedicated over 25 years of service to 7-11, working her way from an entry-level store clerk to one of 7-11’s top producers in her department. She is survived by her husband, Elijah, children Deme, Denise, and Damont. Kaylee, Allie, Bralyn, Nicolas, Alaina, and McKaylah, six grandchildren. She will be missed by her sister, Sonjia, nephew Joshua, and nieces Audrey and Sholanda. She is honored and loved by her extended family, Vickie Knotts, Michelle Knotts, and all her extended family who reside in Anna, TX.
