Cynthia Kaka's Obituary
Cynthia Jane Kaka died Tuesday, April 2, 2019 peacefully at her home in Parker, Texas. She leaves her husband of nearly 49 years, Abbas Kaka; daughter, Aimee Lehman (husband Eric Lehman, grandchildren Emma and Evan); son Aaron Kaka (wife Sarah Kaka, grandchildren Aria and Lila); and daughter Melanie Stone (partner Larry Roberson). Cynthia was preceded in death by her father Thomas Dunlap and mother Gladys Nelson George. Cynthia was born on a wintry day, February 25, 1947 in Dallas, Texas. With her father dying when she was an infant, Cynthia was raised solely by Gladys for much of her childhood, and the two shared a strong bond their entire lives. Cynthia spent a lot of time with her older relatives while growing up, and Gladys remarried when Cynthia was a young teen. Cynthia went to Woodrow Wilson High School and graduated from University of North Texas. She taught elementary school for a couple of years before meeting the love of her life, Abbas Kaka, on a blind couples date. The two married on April 17, 1970. When Cynthia gave birth to their first child the following year, she became a full-time mom. She spent the rest of her life devoted to her family and took great pride in keeping a well-maintained home while raising her children. Cynthia was a gentle, kind soul who loved animals, reading and sweets. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. Her connection with her husband embodies true everlasting love. Memorial Service will be held Thursday April 4, 2019 at 2:30pm in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park
