Cynthia Diane Marshall's Obituary
MARSHALL, CYNTHIA DIANE aged 61, died peacefully on December 11, 2013 after a hard-fought struggle with cancer. Cynthia, known to her friends and family as Diane, was born March 7, 1952, in Dallas, Texas to Charlene D. Miller and the late Hobart H. Miller Jr. She attended Centenary College, where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. Diane was a legal assistant before she met her husband of 35 years, Dusty Marshall. She was the oldest of three brothers, a devoted wife, and a loving mother to her two sons. Diane was the happiest when taking care of all “her boys” and her home. She greatly enjoyed the company of friends and family, and loved laughing at the stories they shared. Vacations at the family’s lake house, lovingly known as the “The Manor”, brought her many years of joy. Diane is survived by husband, Hugh H. (Dusty) Marshall, and their sons, Hudson H. Marshall and his wife, Sarah, Chase D. Marshall; her mother, Charlene D. Miller; brothers, Russell L. Miller, Jim G. Miller, and Kyle C. Miller. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends. The family will receive friends to celebrate her life on Monday, December 16, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Restland Memorial Chapel. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her illness. Diane touched the lives of many, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
