Cynthia Karen McCown- Fruge's Obituary
Cynthia Karen McCown- Fruge was born in Toledo Ohio to her parents Richard and Bessie McCown. Cindy was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and Lola. She was preceded in death by mother Bessie McCown and daughter Raquel Fruge’. She departed this life Thursday July 19, 2018. Cynthia graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelors in Business Administration and received her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Regis University. She was most recently employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield as an Analytic Consulting Manager. Cynthia was also, a retired Master Sergeant in the US Army Reserve. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Hoyt (Tyler), father Richard McCown (Jacqueline), sister Suzanne Smith (Christopher,) brother Michael McCown (Kim) sister/ cousin Carla Danner Powell, nephew Corey Smith (Tarshay,) niece Rylee Smith -Taylor (Aaron), grandson (“sweet boy” Blakey Blake), as well as family and special friends. Cynthia had an infectious laugh and a gut-busting sense of humor. Her smile would light up any room and she was always the life of any party! She was a selfless, caring individual that lived by the words “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). Cynthia will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Viewing will be on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, from 6-8 at Restland Chapel and the Services will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 11 am located at St. Mark Baptist Church in Garland, TX
