Cynthia Nelson's Obituary
Cynthia Johnson Nelson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15 in McKinney, Texas, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Cindy was the daughter of Gladys Turrentine and Hayden Johnson, and leaves to cherish her memories her husband Thomas Nelson, son Chad Houser and his wife Hannah Koski, step-son Chad Nelson and his wife Tiffany Nelson and step-daughter Courtney Nelson. She was the loving Ninny of six grandchildren, Preston Key, Parker Key, Payton Key, Lilia Houser, Duncan Nelson and Emerson Houser, and a grand child and great grand child to be, and the loving sister of Suzy Graham, Carolyn Trego, Gary Johnson and Rebecca Avery. She would want in her passing that everyone celebrate her life in honor of the way that she lived her every day.A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 18th at 2:30pm at Restland of Dallas with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Ninny’s Closet at Café Momentum in Dallas, Texas. Ninny’s Closet provides an open invitation to all Café Momentum interns to access products to meet their needs; anything anyone may need to feel loved and at home, just like Ninny did.Mrs. Cynthia Nelson has been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
