Tom Lockett
I extend my deepest condolences on the loss of Dale. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Dale was my barber from my high school days (LHHS 1965 graduate) until he retired at the Lake Highlands barber shop. I always enjoyed my visit there, getting my haircut, and talking to Dale, Joe and the others. He was part of the Greatest Generation that helped save the world during World War II. I enjoyed hearing about what he did in the Navy during his three-year tour on the Submarine Tamber. One memorable time when I saw him one Saturday in early 2012, when I was in the right place at the right time, a customer who was there for the first time and about Dale’s age heard him talking about his Navy time. The customer was also a World War II Navy veteran who was on a battleship for three years. I had the pleasure of having a 30-minute history lesson about World War II from two wonderful Navy veterans that was priceless. I will never forget Dale, Joe and the others. I miss my visits there and Dale.
