Dan Reed's Obituary
Dan Reed was born July 18, 1923 in Stone Bluff, Wagoner County, OK to Harry and Josie Ellen (Miller) Reed. He passed away January 12, 2016 in Garland, Dallas County, TX. He was 92 years of age. Mr. Reed loved God, his family, and his country. He served his country as a Flight Officer in the US Army Air Corp. He worked as a claims adjuster in the insurance industry. Mr. Reed leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife Rita; their daughter, Becky Hagan, and husband Gene; numerous other family members and dear friends. The family will receive friends at Restland Funeral Home on Friday evening, January 15, 2016 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm. Services for Mr. Reed will take place at 3pm, Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home in the Abbey Chapel located at 13005 Greenville, Ave., Dallas, TX 75243. The Abbey Chapel is located just north of the funeral home at Restland Memorial Park in the Abbey Mausoleum. Rev. Hardy Brundage will officiate. Organist will be Charles Swick. Following the service, there will be a short procession to the Chapel Gardens II Mausoleum also located in Restland Memorial Park where Mr. Reed will receive Air Force Honors. Arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home.
