Dear Palmieris, I did not know Dana well (but my sister Alicia has very fond memories of, and much gratitude for, Dana and all she did to help her out so many years ago when she was just getting started in her career) but know that she was a inseparable part of your wonderful family. Nancy, I remember you as always so lovely and am deeply sorry for your loss of your beautiful daughter. I am fairly sure I no longer have Jen's or Beth's current contact information and would so much like to reach out to you both — my email is kamiancampbell@gmail.com and phone/text is 650.787.2328. With deepest sympathy and love, Nicole (Kamian) Campbell
To John, Rebecca, Nick and all of Dana's family, my most sincere condolences go out to you in her loss. It was my good fortune to work with Dana, many years ago, in Charlotte. She was an absolute force of nature and a true mentor and friend to me when I was starting my business. I recall a neighbor once giving her a gift, a book entitled, "I Don't Know How She Does It All," and what an apt description of Dana it was! Whether Dana was being promoted, yet again, within her work, receiving an award, running miles at the crack of dawn or being a wife and mom, she balanced it all with a beautiful smile. Cliched though it sounds, it was true. I appreciated Dana's genuine communication style. I always knew where I stood with her. I never heard Dana put others down or express criticism. She didn't have time for it. It's not surprising to hear how gracefully Dana handled her diagnosis. I'm so glad she was able to focus on time with family and friends and live the rest of her time as much on her own terms as possible. Dana packed more *living* into her lifetime, albeit shortened than most of us could dream of doing. in gratitude for Dana, Ruth Burts
Dana was a wonderful person with a big heart. She was a boss and a friend….I will never forget the amazing and fun trip we took to Paris and London for business. But Dana made it a terrific social event and we lived in the moment. Rest in peace Dana. You left a beautiful mark on those you touched.
I want to echo my colleague and friend Gertha's comments — Dana was just amazing. I am so glad I had a chance to learn from her, work with her and be trusted by her to be a business partner. I was her communications executive at one point in her career and so had a ringside seat to hear her express, in her own words, what it meant to be a leader and a mentor and a coach. What a wonderful time that was! It's almost impossible for me to believe a spirit as focused and driven as Dana's has left us. I've had a photo of her and all of us on her leadership team on my desk for a decade, and tonight it has such a special poignance. I wish her family peace in their hearts and many joyful memories of the amazing Dana. Todd Rosin

Prayers to you and your family in this tough time. I knew of Dana through Gertha Crumpler. Gertha spoke so highly of Dana and loved working for her. May God bless your family and have his angels spread their wings over you for support. Regards, Natalie Baggarley
Dana was our Heart Walk chair at the American Heart Association in Charlotte when she worked for Bank of America. It was my first real job out of college, and I was so intimidated by her! But after I got to know her, I was so impressed and in awe of her. She was so humble and down to earth, but yet incredibly smart and savvy. She left a mark on me personally and professionally, and I was so saddened to hear of her passing.
My heart was very saddened to hear that Dana has passed away. I pray that your family will all be provided the strength and comfort needed to get through this very difficult time. May you all have loving memories of the special times that you shared with Dana while she was here. You can rest assured that Dana definitely left a very heartwarming and impactful mark on the lives of many, many people. Fortunately, she left her mark with me, as our paths crossed when I worked as her Executive Assistant at Bank of America in Charlotte. Dana was truly a phenomenal woman, a remarkable leader and coach, a dedicated family member, and a very extraordinary friend. She amazingly displayed such a vitality for life and a zeal for anything whatsoever she was involved. Dana was a bright and shining gem and truly lit up and energized any space that she was in on a daily basis. She was very caring and I thoroughly enjoyed both our professional and personal relationship. Dana is gone too soon and will be sorely missed. God bless you all. Gertha Crumpler
