I'm late in submitting this tribute. I was thinking of my dear friend and wondering if I could find a contact for her. In searching the internet, I found this tragic news. Dana and I meet in the early '80's in a tennis league and quickly became friends. Neither one of us advanced much in the "ladder" on the league so we frequently were playing on the same court and after play dinners became the highlight of our evening with a group of 6-8 women. Even after the league ended we would meet to play a little tennis but mainly just to share some good conversations and laughs. My heart is thankful for having had her in my life but grieves for the loss her family and friends have experienced A beautiful woman gone too soon. Barbara Williams – Austin, Tx

Dana was a gift. When I lived in Houston in the '70s, we became friends and together with a bevy of friends, had a ball. I will always remember the trip we took, with Nancy and Bebe, to the Texas hill country, went out for dinner, got flooded out so we had to find a new motel to stay for the night, were lucky to get the last of several available rooms, shopped at Walmart for PJ's and toothpaste and laughed the whole time. She will always hold a place in my heart. I will always remember you Dana. My condolences to Jack and her family.

A lovely lady. Dana was always kind and considerate of others. She'll be greatly missed. Jack WOW what a devoted husband. So glad she had Jack to love her forever.

Every time I pass a sonic drive in I think of Dana and her fave……Chocolate shake! When I pass a YMCA, I think of of her, her favorite pink tennis shoes Jack for her and the stationary bike we would race each other, the pool in the summer that we would go back in the afternoon and she would want me to dive again and again and then grab me lets go slide. She kept me in shape. I think of Dana when I get in my car, I can hear her say click it or . Dana may not physically be here anymore but she will always be here. In our hearts and our memories.

Dana was a lovely lady who will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Her wit and dry humor were always uplifting when we girls were all trying to figure out how best to get through our high school years. I'm very thankful that I was able to reconnect with Dana at the HHS 40th high school reunion. She was indeed a very special person.
