Daniel Dale Braucht, Jr. was born on February 21, 1941 in Houston, Texas and passed away October 12, 2016 in Garland, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Dale Braucht, Sr and Mildred Etura Braucht; his brother, Neil Braucht; and the mother of his daughters, Glena Bush Braucht. Dale is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ellie; his daughters, Carrie Goodman and husband Ken, Christie Rivera and husband Richard; his son, Steven Braucht and wife Melanie; his grandchildren, Brennan Goodman, Braden Goodman, Alexis Braucht, and Lily Braucht; his siblings, Ralph Braucht and wife Rhonda, Carl Braucht, and Millie Braucht; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dale attended Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, TX. He Worked for P.A. Ross Machinery for 45 years and was part owner of the business for over 20 of those years. Dale had a strong faith in God that influenced everyone he met. His strong faith and love of singing led him to be a devoted deacon of Eastern Hills Baptist Church in Garland as well as a soloist and member of their choir. He loved fishing, hunting, boating, camping, and water skiing. Along with those outdoor activities, he also raised and raced homing pigeons. Dale was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His greatest joy was playing these roles and spending time with his beloved family. The visitation for Dale Braucht will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home. The service for Dale will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 14, 2016 at Eastern Hills Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
