Daniel William Hartmann's Obituary
Beloved Husband of Cindy. Born November 13, 1956 in Port Hueneme, CA and passed away September 18, 2008 in Dallas, TX. Dan graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design and was an accomplished illustrator, designer and photographer. He served as director of the Southwest Division of the Air Force Art Program and traveled to Iraq, Germany, Indonesia and Thailand. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor. He loved science fiction, animation, music and the arts. He loved to debate politics. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. He loved boats, planes, and exotic cars, especially Jaguars and was a Jaguar Club member. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Hartmann of Dallas, His parents, Don and Lee Hartmann of Plano, his brother and sister- in- law, Paul and Pam Hartmann of Plano, and sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Robert Loureiro of Plano. Also survived by his grandmother, Elsie Dixon Hoene of St. Louis, MO as well as nephews, Christopher Hartmann and Mitchell Loureiro and nieces Amanda Hartmann-Mauro and Macey Loureiro. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 26 at 6:00 pm at Restland’s Memorial Chapel. A reception will follow at Dan’s sister’s home in Plano.
