Danny Muliadi's Obituary
Daniel Agus Muliadi of Garland, Texas passed away at his home in Garland, Texas on February 6, 2024. Danny was just shy of his 60th birthday.
Danny was born on February 8, 1964, in Jakarta, Indonesia to his parents, Amatus and Margaretha Muliadi. As his family sought for a better opportunity, he immigrated to Texas with his parents and older sister in 1976 and became a US citizen in 1982. After graduating from Lakeview High School in Garland, he worked various jobs including deli / food services at Kroger and kitchen staff at Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. For the past several years, he worked nights with the freight handling crew at Home Depot.
Through the years, one would easily mistake him as being younger than his age. Throughout his life, Danny enjoyed playing all sorts of games: board games, card games, Nintendo. With the technology boom, then handheld games and just about anything on his android phones … in his free time, it would be a rare instance if he wasn’t on his phone playing away.
Danny attended the First United Methodist Church of Sachse. In his middle age years, he enjoyed a camping trip or two with the church groups. For the past several months, he attended church on a regular basis.
Growing up, loved to go on vacation trips with his sister Rony and her family. For the most part traveled by car across the US and Canada. All had a good time during an extended family trip to Broken Bow, AR with a large cabin rental. Danny also got to experience a couple cruises to Australia / New Zealand and the Caribbean.
Danny has always lived at home. When his parents passed, he continued to live at the same home with his sister until her passing in 2021. He quickly grasped his additional liberty, and one would easily mistake him for being nearly 60 years old as he portrayed a younger and simplistic lifestyle.
Danny is survived by his older sister Rony Gwie of Rockwall, TX; his older brother and sister-in-law Jimmy and Lenny Muliadi of Frisco, TX; (7) nieces and nephews across the US; (8) grand nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Amatus and Margaretha Muliadi, his brother Eddie Muliadi, his sister Fanny Muliadi, and his nephew Andrew Gwie.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. General visitation will open at 9 AM followed by the service at 10 AM. After the service, the procession and burial will be across from the chapel in the park. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Danny’s life.
