My brother Daniel Payne was a 1 of a kind, loving, friendly and a 'Jack of all trades.' As his obituary said Dan could do just about 'anything' that he set his mind to do. He loved his family, friends, and life. He wasn't a quitter for sure! Payne's are known to be reproductive people & several years ago, at Spring Lake Park in Texarkana Texas, we had a family reunion of ONLY 500 PAYNE'S in 1 spot! And, true Payne's were known to be 'talkers & not 1 shy bone in their body.' They came from as far as New York, Dallas TX, Louisiana, & God only knows from where else, but talk about a Great Time… us Payne's had a great day together! I drive out to the pavilion still today to sit & remember that awesome day! A lot of them has done as Daniel did, and have passed on to that place they call Heaven. The Paynes Came from Rome Ga. and Daniel Dad Ovie Payne was alot like Daniel was, he could do anything that he set his mind to do, and he was born in Patmos Arkansas. Then he relocated to Wilton Ark. & then him & my Mother bought a home in between Wilton & Ashdown Arkansas. Some of my fondest memories was when all 10 children of Ovie Payne would all get together and we would laugh & talk. Daniel Payne had a daughter Glenda Payne Skidmore that love her Daddy SO Much that in his last hours on this old earth. She sat beside his bed & read the Bible to her Daddy. Daniel Payne didn't get the opportunity to go to school long, but he knew the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and that's what matters most of all! Brother, you are now resting in God Home alone with many other Payne family members. You will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know you & love you. R. I.P. Now brother, you have no pain or sorrow where you are today. May God Bless Glenda for sitting by your side reading a Bible to you.
