Daniel W. Tillman's Obituary
TILLMAN, DANIEL W. ascended to our Lord on Monday November 4, 2013. He was a native of Jacksonville and lived in Garland since the 70’s. As a young man he put himself through school as a radio DJ in Dallas and received a BA in business. He then began a 35 year career in the computer industry and retired as Vice President and Director of Information Services for M&S Systems in Dallas. He then pursued his love of community theater in Dallas, Mesquite, Garland, and other surrounding cities. He won many awards in the theater, made voice-overs, and was an extra in the TV series of Chuck Norris and Prison Break. He left the theater for health reasons but always attended local productions. His later years were devoted to his Church, family, and work with Tres Dias. He was Lectern and Lay Eucharist Minister for Christ the Redeemer and Transformation Anglican churches. Dan was an active in Neighborhood Watch in his home town of Garland, Texas. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Jerry; seven children; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren and his brother, Tony Tillman. He will be deeply missed but has left a legacy that our family is proud to pass on. It is one of integrity, honor, love, and an abiding love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Services will be at All Saints Anglican Church, 2733 Oak Lawn, Dallas, 972-755-3505 at 2:00 PM Saturday November 9, 2013.
