Daniel Anderson "Danny" West Jr.'s Obituary
Daniel Anderson West Jr., affectionately known to many as "Danny" and by his helpful nickname "Handy Dan", passed away peacefully in Dallas, Texas, on October 27, 2025, at the age of 63.
Danny was born on April 13, 1962, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, he relocated to and made Dallas, Texas, his home.
A Man of Faith, Family, and Laughter
A passionate man, Danny had a great love for music and rapping. He found his greatest joys in family gatherings, where his caring yet stern nature shines through. Many remember him for his humor, as he was a lover of laughter and comedy, and for his strong, abiding faith and prayer.
Known for always being willing to lend a hand or offer powerful words of encouragement, Danny was a man with a generous heart and a deep love for his family and community. He will be remembered for the countless lives he touched, the wisdom he shared, and the joy he brought wherever he went. Danny's legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will continue to live on through his family and all who knew him.

Danny was preceded in death by his loving parents, Bertina Russell West and Daniel Anderson West Sr., and his siblings Donna Marie West and Diane West Mosely.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Michelle Hagans-West, and his beloved children: Danielle I. Price-West, Daniel A. Price-West III, Diandria S. Price-West, Kala F. Hagans-West, Kiara D. Hagans-West, William Simpson, and Darryl Lollis.
He is also survived and cherished by his siblings: Denise West Meggs, George West, Bertina West, Anderson Joseph West Sr., Raymond West, Donna West II, Danielle West, James Thomas, and Darren West.
Danny leaves behind to mourn 10 grandchildren, a host of cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.
