RAGSDALE, DANNIE On Sunday November 18, 2007, Dannie Ragsdale, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Richardson, Texas. Dan, as he was known to his family and friends, was born on November 4, 1933 in Seagoville, Texas. Growing up in Kilgore, Texas before joining the Navy, he proudly served for 4 years and never once stepped foot on a ship. Dan moved to the Dallas area in 1965. He provided unequal service in the car selling community. He was an integral part of establishing a program to encourage a partnership between credit unions and fleet union sales. He was a Top Seller with the Chrysler Corporation for 5 years in a row. Dan had the special ability to make a friend out of everyone he met. His humor and generosity will be missed, as well as, his famous snacks, sandwiches and chocolate milk. Beloved husband, father, Papa and friend to all, he will be remembered by the love of his life, Lyn; his children, Dannie, Valorie and Jason Fanning, Frank, Lesley Sanders, Jenifer and David Taylor, Ryan and the joys of his life, his grandchildren-Lauren, Avery, Zach, Christopher, Angela, and Ron. A remembrance service will be held at Restland, Dallas on Sunday November 25, 2007 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
