Danny Wayne Anderson's Obituary
Danny Wayne Anderson, 82, of Duncanville, TX, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 in Midlothian, TX.
Danny was born on November 5, 1943 to Harvey and Jane Anderson in Brady, TX and graduated from Carrollton High School in 1962. He married Ann Lovelace Anderson in 1966, and together they made their home in Carrollton and then in Duncanville, TX. Danny became a police officer for the City of Carrollton and finished his professional career as an independent contractor for The Dallas Times Herald and The Dallas Morning News. He worked for numerous awards and trips such as England and Maui.
During retirement, Danny spent the majority of his time playing golf and serving as a Marshall at Mansfield National Golf Course and Walnut Creek Country Club. He loved and adored his grandchildren. His greatest enjoyment was attending their various activities. Danny was an avid sports fan who loved all Dallas sports teams as well as the Texas Longhorns.
Danny is survived by his loving and caring wife, Ann Anderson; his son Derek Anderson, wife Ashley of McKinney, TX, his son Todd Anderson, wife Shelly of Ovilla, TX, along with his grandchildren, Kylee Ganske, husband Matt, Kade Anderson, wife Lacey, Brady Anderson, Andrea McFarlane and Audrey McFarlane.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Jane Anderson and his sister, Janette Anderson.
Services will be held at Restland Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel, in Dallas, TX on February 5, 2026. Visitation begins at 1:00 p.m. Funeral service begins at 2 p.m. followed by interment in Restland Cemetery.
