Danny and I worked together at Mobil's Geophysical Services Center in Dallas beginning in the latter half of the 1960's. We also shared an apartment for about two years, starting in 1967. Since we were both devoted Cowboy fans we erected a special "Cowboy Antenna" on the roof of our apartment so we could watch the blacked out local games. The antenna only lasted about two weeks because the apartment management took it down, fearing that it might fall on another tenant. In retrospect, it might have been a little unstable so removing it was probably a good idea.
A few years later Danny and I were teammates on a Mobil Geophysical softball team. He was a heck of an athlete with an uncanny ability in the outfield. His throws from deep left field were like bullets with dead on accuracy. I remember many times when he nailed an opponent at home plate who was trying to score from third base.
Danny was great coworker, roommate, and friend. May he rest in peace.
I worked with Danny at Mobil Oil Corporation. Danny and I enjoyed sharing our favorite pass times, that was eating. Danny and I enjoyed going out to lunch at both the Farmers Branch location and the Empire Central location. Rest in peace my friend. I enjoyed spending time with you.
