Dante Costales Velasco's Obituary
VELASCO, DANTE COSTALES passed away peacefully from Lung Cancer on July 1, 2014 at the age of 77 years. He was born in Cagayan, Philippines on March 22, 1937 to Eutropia C. Velasco and the late Aniceto Velasco. He was the eldest among thirteen siblings. Dante attended Cagayan High School and received a Bachelors of Science degree in Commerce from Far Eastern University in Philippines before becoming a Certified Public Accountant in the General Auditing Office for the Philippine government. When he moved to TX in 1971 he worked in finance for the hospitality services in Dallas TX until retirement. He enjoyed traveling abroad, often fished in area lakes, and had strong interests in American history especially WWII era. He was an avid supporter for The Dallas Cowboys, The Dallas Mavericks, and The Texas Rangers. Dante was predeceased by his father, Aniceto and five siblings. He is survived by his mother, Eutropia, Visitacion his wife of 50 years and devoted daughter, Christine. He is also survived by his siblings: Dr.Raymundo C. Velasco, Delia V. Jacob, Consuelo V. Belvis, Yolanda V. Daproza, Dr. Thelma V. Chua, Alfonso C. Velasco and Rogelio C. Velasco and many nephews and nieces. His commitment to family and faith meant everything and his enduring legacy has made a strong impression that will last forever. Dante will be greatly missed by those who knew him throughout the years. A Rosary will held Sunday, July 6, 2014 at 7:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held Monday, July 7, 2014 at 10:00 AM St. Paul Apostle Catholic Church, Richardson, Texas.
