Many people knew Dr Dara Johnson as an accomplished physician, who held the post of Medical Director at Larned State Hospital in Kansas. But he was much more than that.
While in India he served as a dedicated medical missionary, working in rural communities amongst underprivileged populations.
To his family he was a devoted husband and father. And his extended family looked up to him as a leader and guide.
By nature, he was kind and humble, extending his generosity to relatives and friends and a helping hand to those in need.
Most of all, he was a strong, silent man of faith and prayer, a true child of God.
His kindness and faith influenced all who knew him and his generosity and love are gifts we will always treasure.
Light refreshments will be served at the Spring Valley Methodist Church following the committal service.
