When Darrell was stationed at Ft. Lewis, Washington, Sue and he came to stay with my parents, Joe and Ella Lee Roberts, until they were able to obtain their own place of residence. I lived there as well with my parents. Darrell's jovial heart was appreciated by all and we had a wonderful time when Sue and Darrell were with us. Our prayer right now is that God will give his family peace and strength to deal with this loss of Darrell, which was way too soon. God bless….

Sue, Sherry, & Dina…so sorry for your loss. Darrell was such a wonderfully warm, loving, funny man. (I always said he was the best looking brother – in-law I ever had!) He always had a smile on his face & a laugh to make us laugh. I'm so sorry he had to leave, but I know God had better use for him. Y'all pull together & lean on God. Let Him comfort you in the coming days, weeks, & months. If we can help in any way, please just let us know. Love you, Donna & Aubrey Ramsey
Sue we are so heart broken over the loss of Darrell. He was such a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, and friend to so many. I did not have the years that Jimmy did with him in my life but what years we knew each other I got to see a wonderful man. We love you and our prayers are with you. Let us know if you need us. We love you so much. May god wrap you in his arms and comfort you during this time of need. God bless you.
Darrell was a regular at Loy Lake for swimming. He had a Sears 2 seated motorcycle, we had cushmans. Hanging out at Jack Barnett's cycle shop and track was another hang out. Early 60's thanks for the memories and bless you D. Owen Mott
