Dave became my friend in the fourth grade, when I moved back from France. We had many common interests, through the years; making things, chemistry, electronics, pyrotechnics, exploring, which for years we did together daily. He was a proud as a rugged individualist, with his own views, and his own way of dealing with some people and some situations. We were best friends for many years until my school and distance pushed us apart. Our friendship was always harmonious. Now, he is ahead, exploring the next great unknown adventure. He will be truly missed. Godspeed Dave!
I remember racing against you down Central Expressway, you in your station wagon me in my Mustang. Sitting in the last booth at Sambo's, solving all the world's problems. So many good times so many great memories! I will miss you my friend.
The most vivid memory with you, Dave, was going to visit our friends Lane and Gayla in Amarillo. We were in your station wagon and drove through Wichita Falls on April 11,1979 on the way there. You wanted to stop and check out what happened.
A tornado had hit just the town the night before. We were both so devastated by what had happened and all the damage.
I imagine that you’re up there with Tweetie, and all the other birdies with that big goofy smile you had.
You, me and Rick had some serious fun. There are so many memories that I hope I don’t forget. Thank you for some fun crazy times, you’ll be sincerely missed. See you on the other side. Love, Gayle
Dave was my very best friend for a very long time, I love and miss him. Rest in peace Dave.
It's very hard to think of a single memory when you have been friends for 48 years. Let's just start with You're Got a Friend was our song. He was my friend, brother and my packrat. Dave had a heart for giving, and could be a mean SOB at times but never to me . He always gave me love and respect. His mother was his Saint, she is the kindness most gentle woman I ever met, she is and always was a beautiful lady. Dave I'll listen to smoke on the water just for you. I love you and will miss your mischievous smile. Thanks for always loving me and my family.
