Clay, David Lamar A memorial service for David Clay of Richardson, Texas, will be held at Restland Funeral Home Memorial Chapel at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 24, 2010. He is survived by his wife Patti of 25 years; his father William Clay and stepmother Sammie, of Richardson; and his brother Alan Clay and his wife Josie of Bedford. He is also survived by his grandmother Mrs. Jewel Clay of Winnsboro, Texas, and was preceded in death by his mother, Jan Youngworth. A 1975 graduate of Berkner High School in Richardson, David began his career with Vari-Lite in 1986. His passion in life was concert and stage lighting and his knowledge was critical in the planning and development of stage lights that were used all around the world. He was a valued member at Production Resource Group (PRG), the world’s leading supplier of entertainment and event technology, and will be greatly missed by his PRG family. Dave was deeply loved by his family, extended family, many friends, and business associates. We will remember him for his enormous positive attitude, selfless generosity, and genuine personality. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation in honor of David’s mother and stepmother, and all the beloved mothers of the world.
