David Droupy Emmett's Obituary
EMMETT, DAVID DROUPY passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013 from complications resulting from Multiple Myeloma. David was born on August 15, 1941 to Emma Droupy Emmett and John S. Emmett in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1959 and from the University of North Texas with a degree in business in 1963. David spent his working years in the retail industry with Sears and also the jewelry industry with Zales Corporation and as an independent consultant for sales and liquidations. David was preceded by his parents and his brother, John S. Emmett, Jr. He is survived by his sons, David Edward Rohlf, Darren Trever Rohlf and Dwayne Christopher Rohlf; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephew; and his cousins Shyrlee and Louis Towell. Memorials may be made in David’s name to UT Southwestern Foundation for Cancer Research. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Restland Memorial Park.
