David G. Lang's Obituary
David G. Lang, passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on Thursday, August 2, 2018. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Marion (Bryant) and George F. Lang on November 18, 1941. In addition to his parents, he is pre-deceased by his two brothers, Donald Lang and Robert Lang. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia of 45 years and his two loving children, Christopher D. Lang of Parker, Texas and Melissa J. Lang, of Arlington, Texas. David is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Shelley Lang and two loving grandchildren, Makenzie and Bryson Lang; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Gawrys, loving niece April Swiniuch and brother-in-law Anthony Gawrys; loving dog, Max. David was a loving husband and family man. He worked hard over the years in retail management to provide for his family. He was loving, kind and a gentle man who loved animals, baseball, gardening, working in the yard and playing the piano. He loved the ocean and the beach. He loved his furry companion Max for many years. Max was his shadow wherever he would go. David was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was also very active at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and loved his Greek family and community. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. May his memory be eternal.Services to be held-Monday, August 6th (6:00-7:30pm): Quiet visitation at The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. When you enter, please go into the main church (not the chapel). There will be a short prayer service at 7:30pm. The church is located at 13555 Hillcrest Road, Dallas, TX 75240Tuesday, August 7th (10:00am): Funeral Service at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. This will be held in the main church (not the chapel).Tuesday August 7th (11:30am): Burial at Restland (located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243). Burial will take place at the Orthodox Garden located across the street from the main entrance.Tuesday August 7th (2:00pm): Celebration of Life at Christopher’s house located at 5105 Englenook Drive, Parker, TX 75002. We will have food and drinks for everyone.
