David C. McCombs' Obituary
David C. McCombs, 88, passed away in the presence of his daughter Michelle and grandsons Beau and Clint.
David was born on December 23, 1934, in Dallas, Texas, the son of Roy Lee McCombs and Susie Hope Fox McCombs.
David married Audrey Vaughan in Kaufman, Texas on October 27, 1956. They were married for 66 years.
David and Audrey loved to travel and their favorite vacation spot was the Southwest. David enjoyed hunting, fishing and fossil hunting. He also loved watching movies and his favorites being “Saving Private Ryan” and “Treasure of the Sierra Madre”. He enjoyed visiting casinos with his wife.
David had a unique sense of humor with a bit of sarcasm that endeared him to many.
David is survived by : Wife Audrey Vaughan McCombs, Daughters Michelle Scarborough and Christi Gibson and husband Michael, grandchildren Cari Gerard and husband Jeff, Beau Knearem and wife Cherice, Clint Knearem and wife Toni. Great grandchildren Allana, Alexys, Colton, Cayson, Bryson, Carter, Chandler, Nainoa, Nakoa.
