David E. Mercer's Obituary
Born June 7, 1929, to Edwin and Rachel Mercer passed November 6, 2018. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church located in Howe, Texas. He was a US Navy and US Air Force Veteran. Retired from Texas Instruments and Mostek. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and a blessing to so many more during his lifetime. He was preceded in death by mother-Rachel, father-Edwin, wife-Ann, sister-Ruth, children-Roxanne Cox, Michael Mercer and grandchild-Joshua Roberts. Survived by Brothers-Ron, Harold, Phil, and John, sisters-Martha Jean and Marilyn June, daughter-Rebecca Roberts, son James Mercer, 10 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.The family will receive guests on Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM.
