David Malcolm Patrick's Obituary
David Malcolm Patrick was born on March 23, 1941 to Benjamin Franklin Patrick and Ruth Elizabeth Shaw in Belgrade, North Carolina. He received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at the North Carolina State University. He was the CEO of Data Marketing Associates for most of his career, working with technology products and services. In June of 1990, he married the love of his life, Susan McClerkan. They were happily married until her death in May of 2017. David enjoyed traveling and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys football team. He entered into rest on January 30, 2023, at the age of 81, in Dallas, Texas.
David is survived by his brothers; Graham A. Patrick (Doris) of Tallahassee, FL and Fordham G. Patrick (Sharon) of Sterling Heights, MI and sister Meredith P. Tysor of Greensboro, NC. He is also survived by his nephews; Graham S. Patrick of Cockeysville, MD and David S. Patrick of Huntington, WV and nieces; Natalie Van Hook of High Point, NC, Anna Nugent of Greensboro, NC and Elizabeth Thomas of Tallahassee, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife Susan Patrick and brother Franklin D. Patrick.
David’s final resting place will be beside his wife Susan at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. He will be sincerely missed by his loving family, devoted friends and everyone who knew and loved him.
