David Hershel Reavis Sr.'s Obituary
Reavis, David Hershel began his earthly journey in Greenville, Texas on September 23, 1929. The last mile of his journey was over rough terrain and he courageously finished April 18, 2008. Hershel was predeceased by parents, William Newton Reavis and Murtie Gertrude Lake Reavis. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Joy Reavis; 2 sons, David Hershel Reavis Jr. and wife Laurie Reavis, and Thomas Newton Reavis and wife Deborah Reavis; four daughters, Marsha Rene(Reavis) and husband Frank Everett, Vicki Lynn Fisher, Susan Yvonne Bradley, Melinda Kay and husband William Oliver. He was the proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Hershel is also survived by his sister , Shirley Reavis and husband Paul Hamiter along with several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is Thomas M. Lane Jr. his best buddy and ‘Price is Right’ companion. Hershel spent his career as a professional salesman and held the position of National Sales Manager for several major corporations. You have earned your wings- Soar high but fly slow, my love. I will be behind you and we will finish this journey together. Go be with God.
