David M. Stapleton's Obituary
Mr. David Michael Stapleton, age 62, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 10, 2022 in Plano, Texas with his beloved Wife, Lien Truong and other family members by his side. He was born to Douglas Stapleton and Barbara Ann Stapleton on March 21, 1959 in Dallas Texas.
David spent his lifetime pursuing his passion for Kungfu with over 42 years of teaching and practicing multiple styles of Martial Arts including Tae Kwon Do, Kendo, Tai-Chi, Hung-Gar Kung Fu, and Shaolin Kung Fu. David was not only a highly ranked and skilled practitioner but also a wonderful teacher. His lifelong best friend considers David as a True Champion of the Martial Arts. David's passion for the Arts, as well as Asian culture and philosophy, made David a very well-rounded Martial Artist who gained the admiration and respect of his Kung Fu brothers and sisters.
David had a deep love for nature. He was also known as “Plantsman”. He was a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable gardener. Flowers and plants were his companions. His favorite type of flower was garden mum, especially yellow Chrysanthemum.
David also loved to travel the world; he collected souvenirs for every destination he had ever been to. In addition, he loved the beach and climbing mountains. His dream was to climb Mount Fuji.
David was always supportive and never judgmental. He would sincerely try to understand how people thought and felt so he could try to help those in need. David leaves his loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. He will be sincerely missed by his loving family, devoted friends and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved him.
Visitations for Mr. David M. Stapleton are scheduled on January 20, 2022 and January 21, 2022.
A private funeral service will be held will held on January 25, 2022 followed by cremation service.
