David Fuller Stevens' Obituary
David Fuller Stevens, born January 5, 1942 in Dallas, TX passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 20, 2023. He spent his final days surrounded by the family he loved. David was an avid Longhorn, graduating with a BA in Business from UT in 1964. He spent much of his career as a Property and Casualty Ratings Analyst for Employer's Insurance and earned his CPCU designation in 1985. He always loved children and was a member of the Big Brother organization for many years. He also participated in a mentoring program through his church. He followed the children he mentored into adulthood. David and his wife, Carolyn were longtime members of The Heights Baptist Church in Richardson as well as the Richard Ray Sunday School Class. He enjoyed studying Egyptian and Biblical history, and watching football, especially the Longhorns, and spending time with his family.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Fuller and Mina Stevens, and sisters Patricia Thorogood and Kathy Rogers. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, son Jay Savage, daughter Lisa Bell and her husband Wes, grandchildren David Edwin Bell and wife Bianca, Christina Nye, James Bell and wife Katy, Elizabeth Bell and Keegan Savage. He is also survived by his brother, Don Lindsley and wife Cindy and numerous nieces and nephews.
We will forever miss you until we join you in Heaven. We love you always, Rest in Peace.
