Stripling, David Seale's Obituary
David Seale Stripling, age 74, of Richardson, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025. He was born on September 6, 1951, in Camden, New Jersey, to the late Betty Jean Seale Stripling and Richard Connor Stripling.
David’s life journey took him across many places - from Camden, New Jersey, to St. Louis, Missouri; Bristol, Tennessee; Dallas, Texas; and Dayton, Ohio, where he graduated from high school. He later lived in Washington, D.C., Grapevine, Texas, and finally settled in Richardson, Texas.
Over the years, David worked for Texas Instruments for 15 years and later as a forklift operator. He often shared stories about “pulling chain” while working as a dock worker - something he took pride in.
David enjoyed 70s rock music and was an avid water skier in his younger years at the family cabin at Possum Kingdom Lake in Texas. He dearly loved his two miniature pinschers over the years and spent time watching action movies with them. He will be remembered by his family for his love of the Dallas Cowboys, his dry sense of humor, his devotion to the TV shows Chicago- Fire, Med and PD, the love of his red Ford Mustang, and his memory of historical and political facts.
David lived with his parents for many years as they aged and remained in the family home until his mother’s passing earlier this year.
He is survived by his sister, Nancy Stripling McKenzie; his nephew and niece, Ben McKenzie (Ann) and Melissa Basham (Daniel); and his great-nephews and niece, Connor McKenzie, Wyatt Basham, Matthew McKenzie, and Gracie McKenzie.
A private family service will be held in December.
