David Dean Turk's Obituary
David Dean Turk was born on October 8, 1956, in Dallas, Texas, and passed away on February 23, 2026, in Canyon Lake, Texas at the age of 69. David lived a life filled with laughter and adventure, leaving behind countless memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.
David is now reunited in eternal rest with his beloved mother, Helen Maxine Turk; his father, Harold L. Turk; and his sister, Glenda Parrish. Their reunion brings comfort to those who loved him, knowing he is surrounded by family once again.
He is lovingly remembered by his three children, Erica Jennings (Matt), David Lee Turk (Natalie), and Kristina Hall (Ian), who were the pride and joy of his life. David is survived by his brother Harold Turk, and sister-in-law Cheryn Turk, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will continue to carry his memory forward.
One of David's greatest joys in life was being a grandfather. Known affectionately as “Abuelo,” he loved his grandchildren dearly—Georgia, Wyatt, Cooper, Gavin, Maddux, and Paxton. They brought endless happiness to his life, and his love, stories, and laughter will remain a part of them forever.
David had a vibrant personality and a contagious laugh that could make anyone smile. He cherished many lifelong friendships, from his childhood in Monterrey, Mexico, to the strong bonds he formed with his fraternity brothers during his time at TCU. He had a natural ability to connect with people and was often known for being the life of the party.
Mexico always held a special place in David's heart. Having spent much of his childhood there and returning after college, it was a place where he felt a deep sense of happiness and belonging. He enjoyed music, hunting, and cheering on his favorite football teams, the TCU Frogs and the Denver Broncos. David also loved traveling the world and exploring new places.
More than anything, David will be remembered for his laughter, the good times he shared, and the love he had for his family and friends. The memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of his family and friends.
A memorial service celebrating David's life will be held on March 28th at 10:30 AM at Restland Funeral Home in the Wildwood Chapel, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243. A visitation hour will be held at 9:30 AM prior to the memorial service. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor his life, share memories, and celebrate the joy he brought to so many.
