David Joe Walker's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of David Joe Walker announces his passing on Sunday June 24, 2018 at the age of 68.David is survived by his wife Linda of 41 years, children Robert Bailey Jr., Treasa Castellano, Mark Walker, Michael Bailey, Chris Walker, and Cheryl Shirley; brothers and sister Steve Walker, Bruce Walker, Sharon Radney, Leo Walker and Tommy Walker, 20 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to everyone.David loved sports, especially football where his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. He took great pride in coaching soccer with his boys. He loved to fish and was a member of the Seagoville Bass Club. He worked as a mechanic but was forced to give up the career he loved due to Alzheimer’s. He spent his free time enjoying his family, playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, watching football and basketball, and playing dominoes. David was always there to help his family and friends when needed.Although we cannot hold him we will never let him go, because in our hearts he will live forever, because we loved him so.A special thank you to Avalon Memory Care Home for their loving care and support during his final days.Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday June 29, 2018 at Restland Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Saturday June 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery.
