David was Baptized November 10, 1985 at South Garland Baptist Church where he continued to be a member for over 30 years. During this time he was asked to be a Deacon of the church and continued to serve until he and Carol moved to Holly Lake. They joined Holly Brook Baptist Church and have remained current members.
He worked at Pearle Vision for nearly 40 years. A little bit later he started driving a special education school bus for Garland ISD. He loved meeting the “coffee guys” in the mornings for coffee and conversations. He never met a stranger as he made friends everywhere he went. Always had to have his vanilla Blue Bell Ice Cream and carried a toothpick or two with him at all times.
A few years later, he retired and they moved to Holly Lake where he took up playing golf, making a once in a lifetime hole in one this past year.
Celebration of Life will be held at South Garland Baptist Church on February 12, 2022 at 2pm.
