Dawn Peters Flowers' Obituary
FLOWERS, DAWN PETERS was born February 1, 1947 in Rochester, NY to Lionel and Eleanor Peters, and passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 2010 in Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by her father. She is lovingly survived by her husband of 35 years, Charles (Togie) Flowers, who lacked for nothing. She is survived by her mother, Eleanor Wiegand and her husband, Robert; children, Tracy Hill and his wife, Jackie; Cynthia Horsman and her husband, Brad; Cheryl Bowshier and her husband, John Paul; grandchildren, Jason Hill, Jobnathan Marriott, Landon Hill, Hayden Hill, Dakota Hill, Atumn Horsman; brothers, David Peters and his wife, Karen, Randall Butts and his wife, Lori;many nieces and nephews and a multitude of adoring and cherished friends whom she treated as family. She is also survived by her most loving Shih Tsus, Bandit and Abigale. Dawn began her career in the insurance and estate planning fields, having been president of Comprehensive Marketing Associates for 23 years, 15 years as vice-president of NRNG, and 15 years as vice-presidnet of CEA Group, all based in Dallas. She served on the board of Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce. She was an active contributor of Rowlett Animal Adoption, Lifesavers and many other charitable organizations. She was the most caring, selfless, generous and organized person in the world. She was the consummate shopaholic, but primarily for others. She played matchmaker and head hunter extraordinaire to many. As the ultimate animal lover, she never failed to pick up strays and find them homes. Visitation will be from 6:00PM – 8:00PM, Monday, July 12, 2010 at Restland Funeral Home. Services wil be at 2:00PM, Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Christ Church, 4550 Legacy Dr., Plano, TX 75024.
